Help raise funds for Strange Brew in Bristol

Help crowdfund a new venture “Strange Brew” in Bristol

Like so many other cities in the UK and across the globe, Bristol is an ever changing landscape undergoing development, which ultimately affects the local community, events, arts and club. In the last year alone, the list of regular places to hear music has been changing, with long-standing clubs sold off or shut down and new pop-up ventures coming and going in the blink of an eye.

With influential venues such as Lakota, The Thekla and The Fleece in the process of either being sold to property developers or facing challenges such as costly renovations due to new flats and offices being built next door. In the last two years, two of Bristol’s best loved arts spaces “The Surrey Vaults” and “The Brunswick Club” have been forced to close.

However, all is not lost!

The team behind some of the Bristol’s finest jaunts over the last 8 years – Dirty Talk – are stepping up with a fantastic idea: opening a new independent 330-capacity music and arts venue for Bristol in the city centre, offering an eclectic program of live music, exhibitions, club nights and performances with a late-night cafe-bar and record shop.

Having already secured an alcohol licence and planning permission – they need your help to raise funds for the essential building works to get it open. At the time of writing, their crowdfunding pledges now at a MASSIVE 90% of their target. With just a little bit more help, this amazing project might just about become reality!
