A Sagittariun – A Fistful Of Bitcoins – Elastic Dreams

A Sagittariun rounds out the year in style with new a brand new EP ‘A Fistful Of Bitcoins’

Techno outlaw and notable West Country synth slinger A Sagittariun returns to his Elastic Dreams imprint to round out the year in style, dropping a brand new EP ‘A Fistful Of Bitcoins’.

Another spatial adventure that traverses the wilds of Tucumcari, Vietnam’s Black River and making the final leg to Devils Tower (Wyoming), this pearl of a record contains 5 tracks of the highest order. The sort of productions that comes drenched in a psychedelic haze one often associated with the UK’s golden-age.

A perfect complement to his LP ‘Return To Telepathic Heights’ released earlier this year on Running Back. A Sagittariun continues where he left off, summing up the range and breadth of influences that have brought him to his current creative dimension. Fully flexing his guns, he brings together flavours of techno, bass, bleep and low slung cosmic grooves that very much exceed the total sum of their parts.

Setting out his stall with the mighty sounds of ‘The Sacred Chao’, A Sagittariun drops a perfectly pointed ode to those lost nights drenched in sweat, steeped in strobe-lit darkness that is every bit an uplifting dance floor anthem as it is addictive. Traversing an ever shifting wormhole through the ‘Last Train To Tucumcari’, dub fuses with space rock and an array of warped samples to pleasurable effect.

Where ‘Along Black River’ treads a path often associated with the influential sounds of Sheffield bass, title track ‘A Fist Full of Bitcoins’ takes an altogether deeper journey in to dub, set in a desert like dreamland. The ethereal chanting and flitting synth tones of “The Road to Devil’s Tower” reach out to that otherworldly place that makes this EP all the more brilliant.
