Since getting off the ground and onto the web a few years ago, we’ve made it our mission to champion a whole other source of untapped sounds, to try and shed light on often overlooked pieces of music: namely tracks which appear on the B-Sides of records.

In many respects, lesser heard pieces of music are quite easily forgotten, although in some cases have just as much value as their A-Sided counterparts. Continuing our short selective series, we’ve been on the hunt for more forgotten flipsides that seem to have a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ and may have been all too easily overlooked.

Flick through our latest selection of six:

Timmy Thomas – Funky Me (B-Side to Why Can’t We Live Together?)

John Rocca – Englishman in New York (B-Side to I Want It To Be Real)

Squarepusher – Hardcore Obelisk (B-Side to Red Hot Car)

A Tribe Called Quest – If The Paper Comes (B-Side to Can I Kick it?)

Joy Division – These days (B-Side to Love Will Tear Us Apart)

808 State – Olympic (B-Side to Cubik)
